We believe decarbonisation is the defining challenge of our time, and that it is, above all, a massive electrification effort. That takes two things: far more low-carbon power, and moving the most power-hungry processes off the grid wherever possible.
Every megawatt we make at sea is a megawatt that does not come from fossil fuels. Every process we move offshore frees grid capacity for the homes, vehicles and industries that need it to electrify.
Where we come from
We started out to decarbonise aviation, with carbon dioxide removal and fuels made from renewable electricity.
What we learned
Chemical processes were never the bottleneck. Firm, clean, affordable power was, and it is hard to find at scale on an overloaded grid.
Where we are going
So we build ships that turn far-shore wind into baseload power, and we put it where demand, and its carbon footprint, are growing fastest today:
